Individual speech-language services

We provide individual speech services in your home, in your child’s preschool/daycare or in a location in your community. We provide therapy for children with difficulty with:

• Language delays

• Articulation

• Autism

• Social language/skills

• Apraxia/motor speech disorders

• Feeding

• Literacy

• Fluency/stuttering

• Memory

• Executive Functioning

• Higher level critical thinking skills, such as problem solving, inferencing and reasoning

• Language processing and comprehension

Social Skills groups

We currently run social skill groups for preschool aged children called the Speech Bubbles. We have carefully created a curriculum that targets foundational social skills, such as greeting, turn-taking and good sportsmanship, in a an environment that supports language development. We modify the curriculum based on the needs of the individual children in the group. At Out of the Box Speech, we pride ourselves on taking a nontraditional approach to speech therapy and for that reason we invite our Speech Bubbles to a weekly themed party where we making learning fun!

Evaluations

We provide informal and formal evaluations based on the needs of the individual child. We develop treatment plans and goals from input from families, observations of the child and the results of testing. We can provide full reports of our findings upon request.

We provide family trainings to give you with the tools and strategies to support your child’s emotional, social and language growth.

We consult with families to provide individualized behavior plans for children with difficulty behaviors at home or at school.
